A luxury acreage with an amazing outdoor entertainment pavilion has set a new auction record in Galston, in Sydney’s north west.
The seven-bedroom residence at 10 Towners Rd, Galston set on a 1.72ha estate was sold through Lumby since 1968. Master-built by Chateau Homes, its beautiful contemporary interiors showcase sleek finishes, stone detailing and a striking glass meals conservatory.
It was the property’s stunning house-sized outdoor pavilion which impressed potential buyers. The estate attracted four registered bidders from across Sydney and an opening offer of $4.8m when auctioned through Kate Lumby.
“It is an absolutely amazing property – just insane – it is next level in outdoor entertaining and lifestyle,”.
“The pavilion can be used throughout the year with the doors opening up in summer for the breeze and closed during the cooler months which adds to its versatility. There is even a swinging chair where you can sit and take in the beautiful acreage views.”
The pavilion is framed by commercial grade glass doors and includes a galley kitchen with teppanyaki barbecue, two dishwashers and wine fridges plus a pizza oven. Designed by Rolling Stone Landscapes, it also features a built-in daybed constructed by recycled pallets and a magnificent stone fireplace.
It overlooks the solar heated swimming pool with a spa. Completing the space is an additional hot tub, fire pit and children’s play area with cubby house.
The residence was built for the original owner of Chateau Homes, which for more than 50 years has earned a reputation as one Sydney’s best builders for outstanding workmanship. Among its lavish features is a parents’ master retreat set in its own wing with elevated bed platform and spa-like ensuite.
A secondary three-bedroom home on the acreage currently provides rental income but could be utilised for extended family.
The award winning team at Lumby since 1968 has now achieved 35 record sale prices and secured a $14m off market sale in Kellyville for residential blocks of land. This year’s stellar achievements include the highest sale in the Hills district with 2 Haven Place, Dural fetching $11.1m under the hammer. Record suburb auction prices also include the sale of 9 Glenhaven Road, Glenhaven which sold for $5.45m.
Lumby since 1968 also achieved the five highest residential sales in Glenorie this year, all by way of auction, with a new suburb record set by 1313 Old Northern Road which sold for $4.35m.
The undisclosed sale price for 10 Towners Rd, Galston was significantly higher than the previous suburb record believed to have been held by 7-9 Carrs Rd which was sold through an auction campaign for $4m in September.
